On December 5, Shen Changyu, Director of the China National Intellectual Property Administration of China, met with Anne Genoval, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Food Sovereignty of France, and her delegation in Beijing.

  The strategic guidance of the two heads of state has pointed out the direction for cooperation between China and France in the field of intellectual property. Since the renewal of the Sino French Geographical Indication Cooperation Agreement last year, both sides have closely cooperated and jointly promoted relevant work, achieving landmark results. Next, China is willing to work together with France to implement the important achievements of the two heads of state talks, promote the continuous deepening of exchanges and cooperation in the field of geographical indications between China and France, and better benefit the people of both countries.

Anne Geneval said that the French Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agriculture and Food Sovereignty attaches great importance to cooperation with the China National Intellectual Property Administration of China in the field of geographical indications, and the two sides have broad consensus on strengthening the protection of geographical indication products. In recent years, the cooperation between the two sides has been pragmatic and fruitful, and we look forward to continuously reaching new heights of cooperation with China in the future.

At the meeting, both sides had in-depth exchanges on the latest situation of their respective geographical indication protection work, the improvement of the geographical indication system, and future cooperation. The heads of relevant departments from both sides attended the meeting.
